According to data from Socialheat-the listening platform of social networks of Younet Media, from September 25 to 25, the topic of the Temu platform has attracted more than 410,000 interactions from more than 7,100 posts and 36,850 discussions on social networking platforms in Vietnam.
In particular, on October 22, Temu attracted attention when launching affiliate marketing programs for users in Vietnam, opening up opportunities for content creators and sales houses to earn extra income.
This event has made the number of discussions about the Temu soared more than 400%, recorded an average of 51,300 interactions and 4,500 discussions per day for three days from 22 to 24-10.
“Affiliate” is the most mentioned keyword on social networks about Temu. Every 10 discussion related to September 25 to October 25, there are 2 discussions related to affiliate marketing programs.

Many social network users see this as one of the waves of new money. Especially attracting interactions from the posts showing the money earned on the Temu up to hundreds of millions of dong.
However, in the opposite direction, many users voiced the “wake -up scene” that this opportunity is not “easy to eat” when the introduced person must buy, the introduction will be withdrawed. Others are concerned about the informal operating floor and call for legality.

As noted from Younet Media’s data, besides affiliate marketing programs, purchasing experience on the Temu has not really satisfied Vietnamese consumers.
Specifically, many consumers have posted comments that the price on the temu is not cheap, even higher than Shopee (accounting for 11% of the discussion).
Some comments such as: “Soi price is not cheap” “too expensive but cheap, shopee is still the cheapest”, “buying is 10 times more expensive than Shopee” …
At the same time, the quality of business products on Temu is also suspicious by many users (accounting for 5% of the discussion).
In addition to quality issues, users also reflect the shipping and exchange services of the Temu, saying that the delivery time is slow, the process of returning is complicated. The policy that does not support payment when receiving goods is also a minus point, when nearly 5% of the discussion expresses concerns about the account security risk when providing credit card information.
